I love it! What's the motivation behind it?
This style is right up my alley. Tickles me in ways full-colored art can't seem to.
I can't quite tell whats on his head. Is it a helmet? The grid pattern throws me off.

I dunno about motivation, just have an idea, to draw a dead soldier, and you can't tell if he shot himself, or he was shoted.
And yes it's helmet, this kind of pettern was used in WW2 by american soldiers.

Everyone's self critical, but this is a really good piece. When I saw this I was surprised and delighted. A robot with a different direction than that of most people's on newgrounds. Very well done.
The things you pointed out are mostly not central to the piece, focus is on the robot, so none of it looks bad at all.
the lighting is also really good btw. great work
